About This Cause
Faith Action Network (FAN) is a statewide 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization through which thousands of people and more than 160 faith communities across Washington State partner for the common good. FAN came into being in 2011 through the merger of the Washington Association of Churches (WAC), a historical ecumenical agency, and the Lutheran Public Policy Office (LPPO), and has become multi-faith. We work with churches, synagogues, mosques, gurudwaras, meditation centers, and all people of faith and conscience to advocate for the common good. We Are a Network of Faith Communities That: *Believes justice work is part of our religious calling *Communicates with elected officials about critical social issues *Advocates for a more just and sustainable world Our work takes place at the local level with members and regional organizers convening forums for education and action; at the state level with the Washington State Legislature and our secular coalition partners; and at the federal level as advocate and educate about social justice issues with our national partners.
