Byrd Barr Place helps ensure all people in the Seattle area have the opportunity to be self-sufficient by providing access to basic needs and programs that educate and nourish, creating a thriving community of neighbors helping neighbors.
About This Cause
Byrd Barr Place supports people from all walks of life, including families, the elderly, the disabled, immigrants/refugees, and the new poor. Our food, utility, and housing services help meet basic needs as well as provide tools to gain long-term stability and self-sufficiency. Through programs and advocacy we nurture a more equitable Seattle that enable people to live healthier, prosperous lives. Together, we will build a stronger, more vibrant city, where all people have access to basic human needs.
