Mission Statement
Mission - Utilizing holistic, integrated, compassionate care, we give hope and deliver effective person-centered treatment for substance use disorders–before, during, and after initiating recovery. Vision - Evergreen Recovery Centers will transform treatment for persons with substance use disorders and their families, promoting whole person care, healthy parenting and early childhood experiences, low barrier access to primary health care, and ongoing innovation and quality improvement. Values - Removing stigma and shame associated with addiction and mental illness will improve equitable access to all forms of health care. To this end, we will operate our programs and workplaces with accountability, honesty, and transparency. We will support the culture, values, and languages of each individual, being responsible to all individuals, regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, gender or gender identity or expression, disability, economic status, culture, or other differences. We are committed to promoting a healthy workplace reflecting these values as well as expressing them in our services.
About This Cause
Evergreen Recovery Centers has for a half century led the way in creating new solutions for more than 100,000 persons with substance use disorders. Evergreen Recovery Centers has grown from a small recovery house in Everett, in 1973 to serving more than 8,000 individuals annually in Western Washington. Our nonprofit organization now has six locations in Everett, three in Lynnwood, and programs in Tacoma, Seattle, and Mount Vernon. Our services include: Harm reduction outreach and diversion programs–PCAP , LEAD and HOST–to reach persons not yet intending to change. Behavioral health assessment, including legal assessments and education. Outpatient treatment. Deferred prosecution, family drug court, and drug screening. Residential programs for pregnant and parenting women with children and Legacy Lodge for men with addiction and mental health issues. Medically monitored withdrawal management (“detox”) for persons with serious symptoms requiring 24-hour nursing and medical care to withdraw from drugs and facilitate linkages to appropriate treatment. Health services providing low barrier, comprehensive psychiatric and medical and adjunctive care exclusively for persons with substance use and mental health disorders. Continuing care programs with housing and educational supports.
