Mission Statement
Provide free medical help to poor people in Lahore, Pakistan
About This Cause
Shrifan Clinic, located on the outskirts of Lahore, Pakistan, started its operations in 1977. We are based in Seattle, and our fundraising for the most part is conducted in the United States. Shrifan Clinic provides free medical help to the poor people in the area. The clinic specifically serves the need of women and children. Patient examinations for common diseases such as typhoid, malaria, dysentery, pneumonia, and sight and hearing disorders are conducted six days a week. The clinic serves an average of 40-45 patients per day. For several years, we have had an immunization program for children. Due to the scarcity of funds, the clinic immunization program is offered only one day per month. The clinic is registered as a non-profit foundation with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), the United Way of King County and with the Office of the Secretary of State in Olympia, Washington.
