Mission Statement
The Snoqualmie Valley Youth Activities and Community Center Association (YAC) is a local non-profit organization chartered with supporting outdoor activities for youth of all ages. The vision of the Snoqualmie Valley Youth Activities and Community Center Association (YAC) is to establish a supporting infrastructure within the community to best serve the long term youth and outdoor education program needs within the Snoqualmie Valley and surrounding communities for several generations to come.

The YAC The Snoqualmie Valley Youth Activities and Community Center Association (YAC) is a local non-profit organization chartered with supporting outdoor activities for youth of all ages. The vision of the Snoqualmie Valley Youth Activities and Community Center Association (YAC) is to establish a supporting infrastructure within the community to best serve the long term youth and outdoor education program needs within the Snoqualmie Valley and surrounding communities for several generations to come. The original facility spaces were constructed during the 1950’s by local volunteers and youth group leaders from the surrounding Snoqualmie Valley area. Donations of time, land, and materials all contributed to the facilities which included a meeting/banquet hall, outdoor cooking areas, and plenty of space for outdoor-oriented youth groups to conduct their programs. Over the years, several generations of Valley residents utilized the YAC to teach outdoor skills, learn to respect nature and to have fun. For struggling youth organizations, the YAC served as a place to store equipment, a staging area for outings and a place to conduct youth meetings and recognition ceremonies. Recently the Board of Directors have purchased a larger, open property space across the street from Encompass off of Boalch Avenue to serve as the new home of the YAC. At 20 acres, this new site offers new opportunities to for expanded facilities, camping, conservation and other outdoor oriented youth recreation activities.adult2 While we are still in the planning phases, the SVYAC Board has undertaken the development of the new site to eventually include meeting space, a workshop, an equipment storage facility, an outdoor pavilion, an outdoor cooking area and possibly other facilities as well. We plan to follow the same model as before, utilizing a combination of donations of time and materials, and conducting fundraising events to develop the site. If you are a non-profit organization serving the youth of the Snoqualmie Valley, or have an outdoor oriented club or group, we would like to talk to you about how we can best develop the site to meet your needs. If you are an individual or business that might be able to help contribute to the effort, we would love to hear from you and talk about how you can get involved. Together we believe we can build something great that will serve the Valley for many years to come.
