About This Cause
Indian American Community Services( IACS ) previously known as India Association of Western Washington (IAWW) operates in Western Washington with the following objectives: To identify and address basic, urgent and emerging needs of the individuals and families from youth, adults, families, and seniors. We provide weekly in-person assistance desk as well as email and phone service for those new to the area or those in challenging situations with needs for transportation, housing, legal services, medical, insurance, youth leadership and career mentoring for women (through online mentoring and an in-person vocational workshops. ·We have a successful youth program that serves over 290 youth and provides them leadership training year-round with several service and civic engagement projects culminating into a five day overnight summer camp with over twenty workshops for campers of Indian origin •The Community Program operates out of North Bellevue Community Center on Thursdays and Redmond Community Center Mondays on the pop-up model addressing wellness (mental health and physical) through chair yoga, fitness classes, community lunch, early childhood education, women's vocational mentoring (with online and in-peerson workshops), civic engagement (nonpartisan)l, and voter engageent. The Senior Program provides senior support services, seniors field trips, musical evenings in addition to once monthly lunch service. IAWW aims to provide comprehensive support services to individuals in its community.
