Mission Statement

The mission of Clark County Food Bank is to Alleviate Hunger and its Root Causes. We are located in Clark County Washington and distribute food to 30+ partner agencies who in turn distribute to 28,000 families. 36% of those served are children. In our current fiscal year we have distributed nearly 5.8 million pounds of food and 120,000 emergency food boxes. We partner with 22 local grocery stores which donate fresh and frozen food to us on a daily basis. This food totals approximately 125,000 pounds a month. We grow and glean food through our farming program. This program contributed 118,000 pounds of food in 2015. We also complete Cooking Matters courses through our Nutrition Education program that teach people how to cook nutritiously and stretch their food dollars. SNAC is another course specifically designed for middle and high school students and Growing Healthy Futures reaches young families. These programs support our root cause work which focuses on prevention and education.
