Mission Statement
Clothes For Kids is an independent non-profit agency based in Lynnwood, WA that provides free school clothing to thousands of low-income students every year. We serve families in all school districts in the Snohomish County area of Washington state, as well as the nearby Northshore School District. Our vision is to empower students for success one wardrobe at a time.
About This Cause
The programs of Clothes For Kids have served well over 35,000 children and their families in the last 30 years. We provide a quality free clothing resource to children in our community so they may arrive at school, ready to learn. Many low-income families are challenged with meeting fundamental needs. Clothing that is the right size, warm, comfortable, and allows a child to fit in with peers is essential to a positive learning environment. We provide a full school wardrobe--including underwear, socks, and shoes--in a "retail store" environment. The only thing that is missing is a cash register.
