About This Cause

PCAF was founded in 1987 to respond to the needs of persons living with HIV/AIDS in Pierce County and to combat associated stigma. Since then the organization has expanded its service area to include Thurston and Lewis Counties in addition to Pierce. PCAF is the only comprehensive HIV/AIDS service organization in the South Sound area with two locations. The main office is located at the information listed below and our satellite office is located in Olympia, WA. 317 4th Ave E, Olympia, WA 98501. • PCAF offers various prevention programs targeted at high risk populations, including programs through the school system, through the corrections system and through community partners such as Associated Ministries, AIDS Housing Association of Tacoma and the Rainbow Center. • PCAF offers care services for those infected with HIV; including an essential needs program that offers toiletries unavailable for purchase with food stamps, HIV treatment evaluation and counseling, emergency housing grants as well as various support groups. • PCAF provides free and anonymous HIV testing at various locations in Pierce and Thurston Counties.
