About This Cause
-Support programs, materials, and equipment that enhance & extend current district curriculum opportunities for our children. To achieve this goal we are: •Providing Teacher Mini-Grants to support teacher-determined classroom needs •Providing monies toward classroom experiences •Supporting school wide assemblies •Providing Art enrichment through the ArtsEd Washington program . . . raise money to help fund programs that support and assist teachers and school staff in providing the best possible education for our children. To achieve this goal we are: •Coordinating a Walk-A-Thon fundraising campaign •Participating in corporate fundraising opportunities such as: eScrip, Box Tops for Education, Campbell’s labels •Coordinating fundraising events, such as Turkey Trot, Holiday Bazaar, Book Fair, Bingo, Crab Feed, Family Fun Night, and a Garage Sale •Researching other community & corporate fundraising possibilities •Researching and utilizing alternative funding sources such as grants . . . promote family involvement in PTA events, fundraisers, school wide functions, and District meetings. To achieve this goal we are: •Hosting General Meetings •Encouraging Co-Chairs of, and increased volunteer base at, PTA events •Increase membership . . . enhance PTA communication. To achieve this goal we are: •Creating and maintaining front entry way bulletin board that communicates upcoming PTA events and general information •Attending Fall & Spring (State) PTA Conference workshops, and PTA and the Law training and District Council PTA meetings or workshops •Provide a welcome committee for families new to Opstad •Maintain Opstad PTA Website and Facebook Page
