Mission Statement
Our mission is to support women experiencing poverty to build stable and fulfilling futures, one extraordinary woman at a time. Led by the guiding principle that women of all races and cultures are to be treated with respect and dignity, Jubilee provides programs and services that empower women to make positive life changes. We support each woman to heal from past trauma, explore possibilities for the future, and connect them with the resources and opportunities to achieve their goals.
About This Cause
Jubilee Women’s Center (JWC), established in 1983, is a leading nonprofit in Seattle committed to helping women experiencing poverty and homelessness build independent and fulfilling lives. With over 40 years of deep-rooted experience, Jubilee has served as a critical piece of King County’s continuum of care by offering transitional housing and comprehensive services to women facing complex barriers, including trauma, domestic violence, mental health challenges, substance use, and economic insecurity. Located in Seattle’s North Capitol Hill neighborhood, Jubilee operates three transitional residences where women can stay for up to two years. Our organization prioritizes not just the provision of shelter, but the delivery of holistic, individualized care in a safe and welcoming environment. We are committed to walking alongside each resident as she builds the confidence, skills, and tools necessary to achieve long term housing and life stability.
