Mission Statement
OUR MISSION Establish support systems for persons with Angelman Syndrome and their families, educating the general public on the nature of Angelman Syndrome and supporting research activities in connection with the diagnosis, treatment, and management of Angelman Syndrome.
About This Cause
Angelman Northwest fka PNWASF was formed in 1994 to increase public awareness of Angelman Syndrome (AS) and to support and serve as a resource for individuals with AS and their families in the states of Washington, Oregon and Alaska. The foundation has an all-volunteer board of directors elected by the members. Our members and their families volunteer countless hours to make the organization a success while raising children with AS. The Foundation offers subsidized events for families to attend in the Pacific Northwest states. Some of the annual events that families and caregivers participate in are a Family Retreat, Adult Wellness Retreat, summer picnics, Minor League Baseball events and a winter holiday gathering.
