Mission Statement
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Benton and Franklin Counties is committed to enabling all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. Consistent with our values of Respect, Integrity, Stewardship, and Passion for Youth; we provide a broad range of programs and activities focused on our priority outcomes of Academic Success (LEARN), Healthy Lifestyles (LIVE), and Good Character and Citizenship (LEAD).
About This Cause
The Boys & Girls Clubs (BGC) of Benton & Franklin Counties positively impacts the lives of more than 1,000 youth a day and over 5,000 a year at 27 different locations. Investing in the BGC ensures that a safe and caring place is provided to more and more youth every day. We rely on community support to grow in programs, services and facility space. We not only provide youth with a positive place to go – we also encourage them to grow and flourish in life. When children and teens visit our Clubs they are provided with tools to “Learn, Live & Lead”. Learn: We want to be sure that these youth are on track to graduate. We help them with their homework and work hard to get them back in school if they drop out. We prepare them for college, trade school, military or employment. Live- We encourage our youth to take care of themselves. Modeling and teaching healthy lifestyles is important at the Club. Our kids are taught to eat healthy and stay active through fun activities. We also stress the importance of abstaining from drugs, alcohol and sexual activities and encourage our kids to have a strong moral compass. Lead- We want our kids to know that they can make a difference in their community. We believe in them and, because of this, many begin to believe in themselves. Our club members are active in many community volunteer activities and often become leaders in their school and/or social circles.
