Mission Statement
Pope’s Kids Place is creating a healthy community through innovative and nurturing professional care.Our purpose is providing comprehensive and integrated health and social services with a focus on children with special needs helps alleviate effects that disabilities pose on our families and communities. These services will ensure families their children have the opportunity to achieve healthy lives physically, emotionally, and spiritually. We believe every child is extraordinary and merits unique and specialized care to give them the quality of life they deserve. Pope’s Kids Place fills a need in not only our community, but also the communities across the country. We offer unique and rare specialized care that is not easily replicated but incredibly crucial to the well-being of children and families with special needs. About This Cause
Through donations, you contribute to changing the lives of children and their family. Pope’s Kids Place offers several ways to support children through tax-deductible gifts. A number of unique giving opportunities are available to those who wish to support Pope’s Kids Place and its mission. Through short-term and long-term planning, tax-deductible gifts can be designated as unrestricted or restricted contributions. We invite you to consider the many opportunities available. Every gift made to Pope’s Kids Place makes a difference. Respite: An Interval Of Rest And Recovery If you are the parent of a special needs child, you know how complicated and time consuming it can be to care for your child. Meeting these needs can be draining physically, emotionally, financially, and that family resources can be rapidly depleted. We know families can be left with little or nothing to draw upon in their efforts to meet the needs of other family members. Constant travel to distant care facilities can create even more stress. Our respite center is designed to provide time for parents/caregivers to take time for themselves, to restore, and to rejuvenate their own energies. Pope’s Kids Place provides respite care for medically complex & fragile children with special health care needs. Parents and caregivers can bring their children to us for safe, nurturing care. We serve children throughout Washington and the Pacific Northwest. We provide daily care, short-term care for up to 2 weeks, residential long-term care, and step-down care from hospital to home. As Early Achievers participants, Pope’s Kids Place believes every child deserves a nurturing and exciting learning environment. Pope’s Kids Place enroll ages 2 1/2 through 8 years typical children, as well as, children who have special needs. We individualize care for each of our children depending on the needs that they have, celebrate the differences and individuality in every one of our children, and we believe in not only supporting the children, but their families as well. Our unique hours are based on the parent’s need to make a living for their families. We are open Mon-Fri 6am-6pm. While parents are at work, our early learners enjoy a nutritious, healthy meal prepared from scratch by our classroom cook. We offer the best quality of care by ensuring parents there is a nurse on-site all of our hours of operation. Pope’s Kids Place Dental Care Center, located on Harrison Avenue in Centralia, offers several stages of a child’s dental experience. Services are offered for children from the 1st tooth to age 18. Children with special needs are seen until age 21. The staff focuses on an age appropriate dental exam and hygiene instruction along with an application of fluoride varnish. Additional restorative services are also available with the recent addition of in-office general anesthesia. Our goal is to provide your child with a positive dental experience. Our clinic provides a family-friendly atmosphere and allows the parents to be part of the experience. We are accepting new patients. We accept state insurance, Delta Dental and offer a sliding fee for those with no dental coverage.
