Located in the heart of Seattle’s Central District on musically historic Jackson Street, Friends of Washington Music supports excellence and equity in music education for the students of Washington Middle School.
About This Cause
Friends of Washington Music (FOWM) is a 501 (c)(3) made up of parent volunteers. Through advocacy and fundraising, we work to enhance and improve access to music education for students at Washington Middle School (WMS) and its attendance area public schools, regardless of their level of experience or resources. Our efforts support... Professional clinicians, supplemental instructors and after-school classes Instruments, instrument repairs, music equipment and sheet music Scholarships for educationally intensive music festivals, retreats and competitions Continuing education for WMS’s music directors
