About This Cause
QuipuNet was conceived, created and organized entirely over the Internet and Incorporated on November 22, 1995 as a Non-Profit Educational Organization in the State of Washington (UBI: 601 672 239). QuipuNet is a volunteer organization that works by forming work groups of 2 to 30 persons who develop projects and presents it to the Board of Directors. Once the project is approved, work on the project is initiated. Anyone is free to join QuipuNet and to propose and develop projects that coincide with our mission and objectives. QUIPUNET works with the mottos created by one of our quipuneros: • Sum of Values. For us everything is valuable, a pencil, a dollar, one minute. The sum of even the smallest values, give surprising results. • Multiplication of Efforts. We try to stretch the little that we have and to use it several times with very good results. • Division of Work. We divide Work that seems impossible or a very big undertaking so that more volunteers can contribute. • Maybe the following characterizes us more than anything: we are not afraid of making mistakes. The same as many organizations and people on the Internet, we feel like pioneers, opening roads in this strange and exciting field. We offer our successes to be copied, our errors to be avoided.
