Mission Statement
Founded in 1997, The Breast Cancer Resource Center (BCRC) continues to be a vital community cancer support service for women diagnosed with breast cancer or dealing with breast health complications. The BCRC is a unique provider of free comprehensive support services, peer-emotional counseling, and lay patient navigators for women dealing with breast cancer. Programs also include an extensive Integrative Therapy program for healing, and stress reduction during and after treatment. Additionally we focus on educational programs aimed at addressing the breast health needs and disparities in care of the underserved women in our area. As an essential community cancer-care partner and referral service conduit for women diagnosed with breast cancer, we bridge gaps in access to care, support and breast health education. We believe that by instilling confidence and educating women about breast health they will be empowered to self advocate and actively determine their health & healing needs.
