Mission Statement
The mission of the Oregon Foster Parent Association is to improve the quality of the foster care system in Oregon and make Oregon foster homes the best they can be. Allowing each foster placement to become a home of safety and healing for Oregon’s most vulnerable children.
About This Cause
OFPA’s goals are: • Provide ongoing, meaningful support for foster, adoptive, and kinship care families and children. • Advocate for change to protect the rights and welfare of foster, adoptive, and kinship care families and children. • Promote cultural awareness. • Encourage community awareness and education through collaborations and partnerships with other organizations. • Develop and provide appropriate training for foster, adoptive, and kinship care families, OFPA staff and volunteers, and other agencies.
