Mission Statement
The Serving the City ministry is a concrete application of Grace Church Seattle’s vision, “to see the city of Seattle become more like the city of God.” Serving the City exists to disciple our congregation into service in the community, care for our neighbors and neighborhoods, and support for people who have been marginalized, recognizing that this kind of active love is an integral part of life as followers of Jesus of Nazareth.
About This Cause
This account specifically supports the Serving the City program of Grace Church Seattle. This program is the tangible way that we work as a community to participate in and care for the city of Seattle. We do this through prayer, financial support of service organizations, providing staff care for those organizations, and organizing volunteer efforts. There are four areas of focus for our outreach efforts: housing and homelessness, foster care, refugees and immigrants, and people exploited by the sex trade.
