Washington Ferret Rescue & Shelter takes in unwanted ferrets, provides any necessary care, and finds loving homes for them.
About This Cause
At Washington Ferret Rescue & Shelter, we are here to ensure the safety and the well-being of ferrets that have been turned over to us. We are here to take care of the abandoned, outcast, displaced, and forsaken ferrets until they are adopted or until they pass away. It is a sad fact that not all ferrets that are obtained from pet stores or breeders, will remain in the same family throughout their lives. Allergies, landlords, financial problems, neglect, and illness are just a few reasons shy people have to place their ferrets in shelters/rescues. Most animal shelters will not take in ferrets, and if they do, they will either try to find a ferret rescus/shelter or euthanize them. Washington Ferret Rescue & Shelter is a non-profit, educational rescue that relies completely on sponsors, donations, volunteers and contributions from the public.
