Mission Statement
Lakewood Project Shepherd is a non-profit community based organization with the mission to provide social service assistance to Lakewood families in need. Working with a combination of community volunteers, the Rotary Club of Lakewood, and the City of Lakewood provides the leadership to carry out the mission.
About This Cause
Project Shepherd provides utility bill assistance year round. Provides emergency food assistance year round. Provides back to school backpacks for children annually each August. Provides recreation scholarships for children to enroll in a recreation class or camp provided by the City of Lakewood Recreation and Community Service Department. Provides a holiday assistance program for Thanksgiving and Christmas. This includes a holiday meal for each family, a gift for each child and a grocery gift card. The program assists over 2,000 individuals in Lakewood each year.
