Mission Statement
The Indiana Women In Need (I.W.I.N.) Foundation is a 501(c)3 organization established in 2000 to support women going through breast cancer treatment by securing and paying for services that relieve emotional, physical, and financial burdens while they are receiving treatment for breast cancer. Examples of our professional services are: transportation assistance (especially popular in rural areas to get to and from doctor appointments in nearby cities), meals and groceries, childcare, house cleaning, lawn care and wellness services.
About This Cause
The basis of the I.W.I.N. Program is to give these courageous individuals the strength to endure breast cancer treatment, empower them to continue their fight against breast cancer, and place them on the path to survivorship. We do this by providing individualized services which include: house cleaning, lawn maintenance, meals, transportation assistance, childcare and wellness services. I.W.I.N. fills a critical gap in the breast cancer support network and is the link in the chain that keeps these women in treatment. Too often the physical and financial strain of treatment causes individuals to give up their fight thereby losing their ability to receive treatment and their only chance at a cure. In these 15 years, I.W.I.N. has sustained a steady growth rate and has delivered over $1.3 Million dollars in support services to recipients. I.W.I.N. currently serves an average of 500 women per year. Our goal is to eliminate some of the stresses and demands of everyday life, giving women the strength to endure breast cancer treatment. Launched with the mission to improve the quality of life for women with breast cancer. I.W.I.N. offers assistance needed to meet every day personal and homecare needs.
