About This Cause
Started in 2002 by Yvon Chouinard, founder of Patagonia, and Craig Mathews, founder of Blue Ribbon Flies, our members have given hundreds of millions of dollars to our approved Environmental Partners to date. Today, 1% for the Planet’s global network consists of thousands of businesses, individuals and Environmental Partners working toward a better future for all. Donations to 1% for the Planet increase our ability to direct crucial resources to environmental organizations around the world. When you donate to 1% for the Planet, you invest in movement-building. Our work is to bring together businesses and individuals in support of our on-the-ground environmental partners addressing our planet’s biggest challenges today.
