About This Cause
Chinese Baptist Church (CBC) has a rich history as one of the oldest Chinese-American Church in the United States. Following the “Seattle Riot of 1886”, which targeted Chinese immigrants, members of Rev. A.B. Bank’s church decided to teach English and the Bible to the Chinese. In 1893, the Chinese Mission formed; in 1896, Chinese Baptist Church was incorporated. CBC is located in the Beacon Hill neighborhood of Seattle, WA, and welcomes all to worship God together. Separate services are in English and Chinese (Cantonese & Mandarin). CBC is affiliated with both Mission Northwest (ABC-NW) and Southern Baptist Convention (SBC). In 2018, CBC called Rev. Mike Lee as the Senior Pastor to carry out the church vision of “Big Church Small Church making disciples.” Learn more about Chinese Baptist Church at www.seattlecbc.org.
