Mission Statement
The mission and purpose of the Montclare Parents Association (the “MPA”), is to provide financial and individual support to and for the students, families and caregivers, and the school administrative leadership team, teachers and staff, of the Montclare Children’s School (“MCS”), in order to (i) foster a positive sense of community among MCS families, caregivers, the school administrative leadership team, teachers and staff through various community-building events, and to support diversity (in all forms) as an integral part of school life, and (ii) provide financial support and fund need-based scholarships to children who otherwise would not have the opportunity to attend or obtain an education at MCS.
About This Cause
The Montclare Association Inc., a New York nonprofit corporation (a/k/a “Montclare Parents Association” or the “MPA”), provides financial and individual support to and for the students, families and caregivers, and the school administrative leadership team, teachers and staff, of the Montclare Children’s School (“MCS”), located in the Upper West Side of Manhattan, New York, NY, in order to: (i) Foster a positive sense of community among MCS families, caregivers, the school administrative leadership team, teachers and staff through various community-building events, and to support diversity (in all forms) as an integral part of school life. We believe that a vibrant, diverse and involved community creates a vital learning environment for children, and reflects the important values of caring and responsibility towards others. (ii) Provide financial support and fund need-based scholarships to children who otherwise would not have the opportunity to attend or obtain an education at MCS, by working closely with the MCS director and the school administrative leadership team to identify eligible applicant children, and by encouraging our students, families and caregivers to volunteer their invaluable time, talents and resources towards, and engage in, the scholarship fundraising activities and initiatives of the MPA.
