Helping Homes provides comfort and care to immigrants and refugee families through the expeditious distribution of needed household goods and services.
About This Cause
Helping Homes supports recently arrived immigrant and refugee families in our local community through the acquisition and delivery of gently used household items (beds, couches, dressers, clothes, kitchenware, rugs, side tables, lamps, towels, bedding, etc.). We are a grassroots group of community members from the Portland Metropolitan area that includes educators, social workers, counselors, business leaders, lawyers, real estate developers, and technology experts, who have mobilized and are contributing their expertise to meet a critical need in the most efficient and effective way possible. The need is overwhelming and our goal is to efficiently expand and improve delivery of items so that we are able to help more deserving families in as many communities as possible.
