Mission Statement

To make quality STEM learning accessible, inclusive and fun for all.

About This Cause

Founded as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in 2023, our mission is to make quality Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) learning accessible, inclusive and fun for people of all ages in Broomfield, CO and the surrounding communities. Through partnerships within the STEM and educational communities, we work with local engineers, teachers and volunteers to foster a community that values belonging, curiosity, collaboration, innovation and play. Currently our focus is on providing an engaging and accessible competitive robotics program for students in grades K-12 through the Broomfield Robotics Club, in which we can provide a deep dive into multiple branches of STEM curriculum. In 2024 our 12 FIRST teams encompass 40 mentors for 92 2nd-12th students, 47% of whom are female. In addition, in 2024 our Early Engineers program has served over 30 K-1st graders, and our two summer camps brought quality STEM education to over 35 students, 40% of whom received need-based scholarships to attend. 30% of our students are of color, 15% are neurodiverse, and 18% of our robotics students are on scholarship, including 8 refugee students. As of January 1, 2025, we have over 60 students on the wait-list who we will not be able to serve this year because we are out of space. We are actively fund raising to move Broomfield STEM into a larger space where we can expand our offerings to welcome more students from Broomfield and the surrounding communities.
