Mission Statement

Sindhi Association of Seattle (SAS) mission is to unite the Sindhi community and support underprivileged children, especially within the Sindhi community in India and across Globe, here are some targeted activities and initiatives that align with this mission: Community Engagement and Awareness Cultural Education Programs: Workshops and Lectures: Host events to educate both the local Sindhi community and the broader public about Sindhi culture, history, and traditions. Cultural Exhibitions: Organize exhibitions that showcase Sindhi arts, crafts, and historical artifacts. Community Gatherings: Annual Festivals: Celebrate Sindhi festivals with events that also raise awareness about the association’s mission and the needs of underprivileged children. Networking Events: Create opportunities for community members to connect, share experiences, and discuss ways to support each other. Support for Underprivileged Children Fundraising Initiatives: Charity Events: Organize fundraising dinners, galas, or auctions where the proceeds go towards educational and welfare programs for underprivileged Sindhi children in India. Crowdfunding Campaigns: Launch online campaigns to raise funds for specific projects or needs. About This Cause

Activities being performed (Current)- - festival celebration, sharing details about Sindhi culture and heritage and organizing cultural events - regular meets with families, visiting Parent and extended families - helping new families and providing required support. Association’s activities/ plans for future - 1. Provide an environment where families feel engaged and connected. 2. Create a strong knit community which can provide emotional and financial support for the families and students in need. 3. Provide volunteering opportunities for youths, as it will help them to create a sense of belonging to the community and build strong connections. 4. Familiarize our American-born kids with our (Sindhi) roots and culture and provide a platform to learn the Sindhi language, festivals and other important skills like yoga and community building exercise. 5. To organize fundraising events for building Jhulelal Mandir and Festival Hall where we can celebrate Chetti-Chand (Sindhi Day) in Seattle.
