Mission Statement
Vision; Provide young adults a clear understanding of basic economic principles and how these principles affect their daily lives Mission; Help students and young adults make better economic decisions by providing elementary and secondary teachers with an understanding of economics and classroom strategies.
About This Cause
We are an OR non profit, established in 1958. We are an all volunteer organization. As stated above, our goal is to help students and young adults make better economic decisions in life. We currently do this using 4 different initiatives; instructional games (such as the Stock Market Game), competitions (such as the Economics Challenge) workshops for teachers of economics, and a web site. We have also initiated an award for the Economics Teacher of the Year, to encourage excellence in teaching economic principles to students in grades 1 - 12.
