Mission Statement
Meals on Wheels People has been changing lives, one meal at a time, since 1969 through neighborhood meal sites in Multnomah, Washington and Clark counties and Meals on Wheels delivery to homebound seniors. With the help of more than 2,500 volunteers, the nonprofit organization now serves more than 5,000 meals daily and 1.1 million meals each year.
About This Cause
The mission of Meals on Wheels People is to enrich the lives of seniors, and assist them in maintaining independence, by providing nutritious food, human connections and social support. We also use our expertise and capacity to serve other nutritionally at-risk populations. Our vision: No senior will go hungry or experience social isolation.
