Mission Statement
The mission of Northwest Pilot Project (NWPP) is to offer opportunities for a life of dignity and hope to very low-income seniors in Multnomah County by solving housing needs.
About This Cause
Northwest Pilot Project helps low income senior citizens find and secure safe, affordable housing and live independently. Our clients are very low income and disabled seniors 55 years and older, who are homeless or who live in Multnomah County, Oregon, and who are capable of independent living securing housing. We work with these older adults either by helping them find new housing or finding ways for them to remain in their current housing at a rent that they can afford. Through the provision of services including housing case management, rent assistance, transportation, basic household supplies, and information and referral, NWPP stabilizes vulnerable housing situations. We also work to addresses the root cause of homelessness through advocacy efforts and public education aimed at securing both additional resources and public policies that support the dignity of low-income older adults.
