Mission Statement
Helping Hands Resources mission is to share the abundance of community by providing support to individuals in need by offering clothing and household items at no charge.
About This Cause
Helping Hands Resources is a non profit organization that relies solely on generous donations by the community. It's programs are run and managed by a 100% volunteer staff. It based in our shop in Salem,Oregon and services to the community are broken down into three outreach service programs. First, the shop itself is a store that individuals and families may sign up to "shop" once a week at no charge. There you will find clothing, small household, kitchen item and bedding; as well tents and backpacks for the houseless. The stop also has hygiene kits for adults or children. Second program is "Clothes that Work/ Work Wear". This program helps people put together an outfit to interview for a job; or with referral from a workplace, assistance with necessary clothing items to start a job may be provided. The third program is "Restart Resources", in this program basic kitchen, bathroom, and bedding can be provided to families who are transitioning into new housing. Those eligible for this program include victims of natural disasters, refugees, homeless and victims of domestic violence, and are referral to us through local agencies. We work to provide much needed items to anyone in need in our community.
