Mission Statement
Sunset Covenant Church is a congregation devoted to being an invested member of our community. We do this through actively partnering with other community care providers in our neighborhood. We are currently partnering with the Tualatin Valley Firs Department, Westview High School in Beaverton, Community Cultivators and the Local food bank. We are hoping to develop two acres of our land into Community Garden spaces that are designed as a community gathering and participatory space. The gardens themselves will be organic, edible, raised beds cared for by volunteers. The food grown will be shared with the local food bank, families in need, volunteers and community members. The gardens areas will also host a variety of events such as horticultural events, recitals and concerts, BBQ's to support opportunities for the local community to come and play together, and horticultural therapy activities for the elderly, VETS and and others in need.
