About This Cause
For more than 40 years, De Paul Treatment Centers has served all Oregonians by providing best practice treatment services for substance use disorders (SUD) with success rates above national averages. We have helped over 40,000 people reclaim their lives from addiction. Our unique approach combines the full continuum of care for addiction treatment with therapeutic services for co-occurring mental health disorders. Established as an independent 501(c)3 nonprofit in 1977, De Paul is one of Oregon’s oldest and largest nonprofit providers of treatment services for adults and youth diagnosed with drug and alcohol and co-occurring mental health disorders. De Paul provides 19 percent of the adult residential treatment beds for the Portland metro area and 42 percent of youth residential beds for the state. We are the only residential addiction treatment center in the metro area to achieve accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities and have maintained this status for the past 17 years. Our services are provided in three treatment facilities in the Portland-metro area: De Paul Adult Center in Downtown Portland, De Paul Youth & Family Center in NE Portland, and De Paul Outpatient Services Center in Hillsboro. We offer services to all individuals in need of treatment, including those who are without financial resources to pay. Approximately 81 percent of De Paul's patients fall well below the federal poverty guidelines and qualify for subsidized treatment. We are the backbone of residential substance use disorder treatment for Oregon Health Plan members in the tri-county area. We also strive to be a resource for working families with private insurance. De Paul's services are delivered with care to the role trauma may have played in our patients’ lives. Our programs dramatically improve the welfare of our patients.
