Wilderness Inquiry’s mission is to connect people of all ages, backgrounds, identities, and abilities through shared outdoor adventures so that all people can equitably experience the benefits of time spent in nature. Through our core values of paddling together, finding a way, seeking the exceptional, and nurturing inclusion, we promote the outdoors as a place where everyone belongs.
About This Cause
Founded in 1978, Wilderness Inquiry connects individuals of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities to each other and the natural world through shared outdoor adventures. Guided by the core value of inclusion, Wilderness Inquiry operates on a model that facilitates full participation by everyone, creating opportunities for underserved youth, individuals with disabilities, and other nontraditional users of public lands and waterways. Since 1978, 500,000+ individuals from all walks of life have been directly served through Wilderness Inquiry programs and experiences.
