Special Olympics Oregon is about creating opportunities for children, youth and adults with intellectual disabilities to achieve goals, make life-long friendships, and to feel respected and accepted.
About This Cause
Special Olympics Oregon provides individuals with intellectual disabilities continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy, and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills, and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes, and the community. Play Unified. Live Unified. Special Olympics Oregon is creating a truly Unified generation. Through inclusive school-based programs, Project Unify and the Respect Campaign bring youth with and without intellectual disabilities together through education and sports initiatives to provide them with the knowledge, attitudes and skills necessary to promote acceptance, respect and human dignity for all students.
