Mission Statement
Open Adoption & Family Services supports expectant parents in exploring all of their pregnancy options in an atmosphere of dignity and respect. When the choice is adoption, we facilitate child-centered open adoptions. We assist birth parents and adoptive parents as they create healthy, long-term relationships that address the ongoing needs of the child.
About This Cause
All-Options Pregnancy Counseling: We offer free, unbiased, all-options pregnancy counseling. Our counselors empower clients with information and resources as they thoroughly explore their options in a supportive and compassionate environment. Open Adoption: When the choice is adoption, we provide adoption planning services and complete domestic infant adoptions. Our adoptions are child-centered open adoptions that include an ongoing relationship and visits between birth and adoptive families. Our adoption planning services include counseling and open adoption relationship guidance that extend beyond the placement. This support and guidance is available on an ongoing basis. Prospective Adoptive Parent Preparation and Approval for Adoption: We complete the pre-adoption education, assessment and homestudy approval for prospective adoptive families who wish to adopt. Once approved, they enter our pool of waiting families and receive ongoing education and support while they await being chosen by an expectant parent. Outreach Community Education: We provide outreach presentation and trainings to community partner organizations (our referral base) to promote an understanding of high integrity options counseling and open adoption services.
