Mission Statement
PCRF provides free medical care for sick and injured children from the Middle East regardless of their nationality or religion.
About This Cause
PCRF was established in 1992 to address the medical needs of sick and injured children throughout the Middle East, particularly those impacted by war, occupation, and poverty. The mission of the PCRF is to identify and help any child in need of medical care or humanitarian support, regardless of their nationality or religion. We also seek to develop the health care capacity of the Palestinian health system to develop greater independence of care and support for children's care. We sponsor volunteer surgery teams from all over the world to provide free care locally, and we also train doctors and nurses. In addition, we are building up local hospital capacity and infrastructure by identifying the weaknesses in the public health care sector and addressing them in an effective, sustainable manner. We have built two pediatric cancer departments, as well as a new PICU and pediatric cardiology department.
