About This Cause

The Sport Oregon Foundation (Oregon Sports Authority Foundation) is a 501c3 non profit foundation that provides deserving youth opportunities to participate in sports activities and physical fitness activities as well as opportunities to witness sports. The Foundation provides free track & field meets for Oregon youth throughout the state. The goal of this program, the TrackTown Youth League, is to provide an accessible opportunity for all Oregon youth, introducing them to the sport of track & field to participate, compete and continue it as a lifetime sport to stay healthy. The series features a once-in-a-lifetime Championship experience at University of Oregon's Hayward Field, the mecca of track & field in the United States. The Championship meet is always attached to a collegiate or world/Olympic level track & field event, allowing participating youth the opportunity to watch high-class athletes compete prior to competing themselves on the very same track. In addition, the foundation provides free Blazers tickets, and other sporting event tickets, to deserving youth. The Foundation also supports many other sports for youth throughout the state of Oregon.
