Mission Statement
Friends of Terwilliger’s (FOT) mission is to protect the historic, natural, scenic, and recreational character of Terwilliger Parkway in Portland, Oregon.
About This Cause
Friends of Terwilliger achieves its mission by advocating for Terwilliger Parkway as a public good and to protect and enhance its scenic, recreational, natural, and historic values; ensuring adherence to the guidelines and statutes protecting Terwilliger Parkway; acting as liaison with the City of Portland concerning development issues affecting Terwilliger Parkway; and informing neighborhood associations, residents and property owners and developers as well as other civic organizations of the Terwilliger Parkway Corridor Plan and the Terwilliger Parkway Design Guidelines and other issues affecting the Parkway. Friends of Terwilliger has successfully listed Terwilliger Parkway to the National Register of Historic Places.
