Mission Statement
Enlace is an international alliance of organizations that has developed an Integrated Organizing Approach (IOA) focused on teambuilding and strategic campaigning. We use this IOA to win campaigns against transnational corporations, and build capacity of organizations through trainings and team building systems. Enlace's main program areas are the National Prison Divestment Campaign, the New York City Worker Center Federation and its Delfino Leadership Institute, and the Womxn Rise Program of the Enlace Institute.
About This Cause
Enlace is an international multiracial multisector alliance that does capacity building trainings and engages in strategic campaigning for the self-determination of the working people. Building Strong Campaigns and Successful Organizations Enlace uses an integrated approach to organizing, creating unique campaign strategies while developing systems to strengthen organizations internally. Our strategies often cross industrial and sector lines for reasons relating to both workforce development and campaign strategy. Two Branches of Work Enlace's work is divided into two components: the Enlace Institute, and one priority campaign. Since 2011, our priority campaign has been the national Private Prison Divestment Campaign. The Enlace Institute presents trainings in strategic organization development that were developed over the many years of our own campaigns. Our collaborative brainstorming processes are useful for virtually all work groups in base-building organizations. Bilingual Institute trainings are regularly held on both coasts of the U.S. and in Mexico City. In the Private Prison Divestment Campaign, we fight against a threat to worker organizing, immigrants, and communities of color: private prisons. In all our work, we strive for collaboration and to build a well-organized movement for racial and economic justice.
