Mission Statement
The obligation of the Domestic Violence Foundation is the acquisition of funds, grants, bequests and endowments to allow the foundation to support organizations whose purpose is to protect victims of domestic violence.
About This Cause
DVF is a 501(c)3 non profit organization operating in the Rogue Valley of southern Oregon. The small board of directors receives requests from Dunn House, Community Works shelter for victims of domestic violence, the Jackson County HHS department and advocates for all victims of domestic violence. The most requests are for one time assistance with expenses associated with moving to a safe location from the shelter or maintaining their home while facing a temporary financial setback. Among the many requests the Foundation receives have been funding for emergency auto repairs, simple safety installations in women's homes, transportation out of the community to relocate to a safe haven, purchasing back to work clothing and payment for emergency pet shelter since they can not have pets at Dunn House.
