Mission: Street Roots creates income opportunities for people experiencing homelessness and poverty by producing a newspaper and other media that are catalysts for individual and social change. Street Roots — an award-winning street newspaper published weekly in Portland, Oregon — has been Portland's flagship publication addressing homelessness and poverty since 1998 with a loyal readership of over 15,000. Every year Street Roots serves more than 400 individuals experiencing homelessness and poverty by providing flexible income opportunities and support. Additionally, twice per year, Street Roots publishes the Rose City Resource, the most comprehensive and up-to-date guide to services in the Portland Oregon metro region.
