Mission Statement

Shu Ren is a nonprofit 501(c)3 supported through membership dues, grants, and fundraising activities to provide cross-cultural learning opportunities for MIP students and families at Woodstock Elementary School, Hosford Middle School, and Cleveland High School, although most events are open to the wider Portland immersion communities. Shu Ren is governed by a board of directors comprised of current MIP parents.

Shu Ren is a non-profit 501( c )(3) organization that supports the Mandarin Immersion Program (MIP) of Portland Public Schools under the banner of "One Program, Three Schools."
