MCA Senior Adult Day Center- Opening November 2024 Mission Statement: At MCA Senior Adult Day Center, we strive to be a beacon of hope and empowerment, enriching the lives of those we serve while promoting healthy aging and fostering a sense of belonging. Our mission is to make every day a meaningful day for our clients, celebrating the dignity and vitality of every individual served. About Us: Set to open in November 2024, MCA Senior Adult Day Center will be the first adult day center in Kankakee County for seniors aged 60 and older. We are committed to being a cornerstone of support and joy for our senior community, offering comprehensive services designed to meet their diverse needs. Services and Programs: -Transportation: Safe and reliable transportation to and from the center, ensuring accessibility for all seniors. -Social Activities: A variety of activities to foster community and friendships, including games, crafts, music sessions, and group discussions. -Nutritious Meals: Daily nutritious lunch and snacks, catering to special dietary needs and promoting healthy eating habits. -Medical Services: Basic health monitoring, medication management, and assistance with daily living activities provided by licensed professionals. -Educational Workshops: Workshops and seminars on topics relevant to senior health, safety, wellness, financial planning, nutrition, and technology use. -Resources for Caregivers: Support and resources for caregivers, including respite care and educational materials. Community Engagement: MCA Senior Adult Day Center aims to be an integral part of the Kankakee community. We collaborate with local healthcare providers, senior services, and community organizations to ensure a comprehensive support network for our participants and their families. Goals: -To offer a safe and stimulating environment that enhances the quality of life for seniors. -To provide respite and support for caregivers. -To promote independence and prevent the isolation of seniors. -To be a trusted resource and advocate for senior care in the community. Fundraising and Support: As a not-for-profit organization, MCA Senior Adult Day Center relies on fundraising efforts, grants, and community support to sustain and expand our services. We aim to raise $376,000 to fully realize our vision, ensuring that no senior in Kankakee County is left without the care and companionship they deserve. Through our comprehensive programs and compassionate care, MCA Senior Adult Day Center strives to be a beacon of support, dignity, and joy for the seniors of Kankakee County.
