Mission Statement
Exchange, inspiring communities to become better places to live. This mission reflects the organization's commitment to community service and civic engagement. The club operates under the guiding core values of Family, Community, and Country, and its vision is for a strong America, safe communities, and unified people. Founded in 1911, the National Exchange Club is the oldest service organization in the United States. It supports a variety of programs through its local clubs, including: Americanism Youth Programs Community Service The Prevention of Child Abuse (its national project since 1979)
About This Cause
The Exchange Club of Las Vegas was officially chartered in 1976, but its roots in community service date back to 1947, when it first began serving the Las Vegas area. As a proud member of the National Exchange Club (NEC)—America’s oldest service organization founded in 1911 in Detroit, Michigan—our club is part of a nationwide network of volunteers committed to making our communities better places to live. The NEC is a nonprofit, volunteer-driven organization with over 600 clubs and more than 15,000 members across the United States and Puerto Rico. Together, we uphold the core values of Family, Community, and Country, and work to promote Americanism, support youth, serve local needs, and prevent child abuse—our national project since 1979. Core Values: Family, Community, Country Motto: "Unity for Service" Key Areas of Service The NEC focuses on four primary areas: Americanism – Promoting pride in the United States and honoring veterans. Youth Programs – Providing scholarships, leadership opportunities, and awards like Youth of the Year and the ACE (Accepting the Challenge of Excellence) Award. Community Service – Supporting local needs through volunteerism and civic engagement. National Project: Prevention of Child Abuse – Since 1979, this has been the club’s national project, including public awareness campaigns and support for child abuse prevention centers. Additional Initiatives Senior Outreach Programs – Helping seniors remain active and engaged. Excel Clubs – Junior Exchange Clubs for high school students. Veterans Support – Partnering with organizations like Veterans Matter to help house homeless veterans.
