New Wave Opera’s mission is to share opera and vocal music by living composers with audiences in engaging, memorable productions.
About This Cause
New Wave Opera believes that opera is a living art form and that new works best represent the variety of stories, experiences, and identities of our performers and audiences. We uplift composers and singers of diverse backgrounds and are dedicated to increasing opportunities for sopranos and mezzos who are underused in standard opera repertoire. We expand access to the arts through all-ages programming, free/reduced price tickets, printed lyrics and/or supertitle projections, and ASL interpreted shows.
