Mission Statement
Woodstock Elementary has a very active PTA with dozens of activities that support our kids, our school, and our community. The Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is a non-profit organization of parents, educators, students, and community members active in our schools.
About This Cause
The Woodstock PTA is the primary volunteer organization that supports all students, parents and staff at Woodstock Elementary in Portland, Oregon. In this time of budget shortfalls, PTA is critical to promoting and sustaining parent involvement, funding, and organizing school-wide events. Woodstock PTA provides all teachers with classroom funds for field trips and learning enrichment. Here are some of the activities we support at the school throughout the year: Bike Rally Student Art Show End of Year Potluck New parent orientation Harvest Carnival Grandparents and Special Friends’ Day Talent Show Family Nights Teacher/Starr Appreciation Week Kindergarten Ice Cream Social We have funded and want to continue to fund: A new computer lab Classroom field trips Classroom learning enrichment supplies for teachers After School Scholarships Young Reader’s Choice Week Spring music performance 5th Grade celebration We promotes & organize: Dine-out nights Classroom representatives Parent mentors Yearbook production School portrait photos Back-to-school packet stuffing School directory School newsletter
