COMMONWEALTH CLUB OF CALIFORNIA

SAN FRANCISCO, California, 94105 United States

Mission Statement

The Commonwealth Club of California is the nation's oldest and largest public affairs forum. We move the national conversation forward on important issues with over 400 events that are broadcasted on more than 230 radio stations across the country.

About This Cause

The Club founders had one major goal: "to get the facts" through non-partisan study of current affairs. That is our goal today - to ensure that our members, and the general public, hear all sides of important issues from the people who know the most about them. Nobel laureates, Oscar winners, royalty, business leaders and nearly every U.S. president since Teddy Roosevelt have all spoken before The Commonwealth Club. From famous moments, like FDR's New Deal speech, to controversial moments, like Dan Quayle's "Murphy Brown" speech, news and history happen at The Commonwealth Club. We bring you up-to-date on politics, tech, literature, business, sports, arts and science in person through our podcast and our national broadcasts.
