Mission Statement
The school is known for academic excellence as well as for a commitment to training teachers new to their craft through the New Teacher Institute. Our teaching balances traditional methods with key student-centered approaches including inquiry, project-based learning, and teaching for understanding. As articulated in Town's teaching philosophy we strive for each boy to be engaged in an environment that weaves together collaboration, critical thinking, integrity, empathy, and creativity. At Town we feel that a diverse, vibrant and inclusive community is essential. We value the variety of perspectives that are integral to a balanced education and a dynamic community. We believe it is essential that each member of the community is equally valued and included in the life of the school.
